Frequently Asked Questions

For Singers

Can I sing at the Swabbies On The River Summer Residency?

Yes. We're on stage at Swabbies On The River the third Tuesday of every month this summer — July 21, August 18, and September 15, 2026. Shows run 6:00 to 9:30 PM, admission is free, and you'll front a real live band under the oak trees on the patio.

How does live band karaoke work?

Pick a song from our 200-song catalog, put your name down with the host, and take a wireless mic. A four-piece band — drums, bass, guitar, keys — plays it live behind you.

Do I need to be a good singer?

No. This isn't an audition — it's a Tuesday night out. The band backs you up, and the crowd sings along either way.

How do I pick a song?

Browse our online song catalog, filter by genre, decade, or difficulty, and find something you love. At events, our host will walk you through the process.

Can I see the lyrics while I sing?

Yes. We provide a confidence monitor with lyrics so you can focus on performing, not memorizing.

What if my song isn't on the list?

Send us a request and we'll get it into rotation for a future show — the band needs to rehearse it first, so it won't be ready the same night you ask.

Is the song list the same at every event?

The full catalog is available at every show, though the band may adjust the setlist night to night.

Can I do a duet?

Absolutely. Many songs in our catalog are flagged as duets or group singalongs. Grab a friend and share the stage.

Do you play the songs exactly like the originals?

Yes. The band plays the arrangements you know from the radio — intros, bridges, solos — live, on real instruments.
